The Department of Philosophy is committed to making philosophical ideas accessible and engaging for everyone. Our outreach efforts include two main avenues:
Public Lectures
Our public lectures feature the successful annual ‘Philosophy Today’ public lecture series, and occasional one-off events. These lectures explore a variety of topics and show how philosophical thinking is relevant to current issues and debates.

School Engagement
We also engage with secondary schools, introducing students from 4th year and above to the world of philosophy. Our topics range from political and moral philosophy to questions about reality, science, religion and more.
