Book of Kells Exhibition The ninth-century Book of Kells with its magnificent artistry and ornamentation is a unique icon admired by millions and recognised by UNESCO as a 'Memory of the World'. Over a million people every year come to admire the Long Room, view the Book of Kells and learn about the legacy of early Irish manuscripts at Trinity College Dublin.

A Reimagined Treasures Exhibition

The redevelopment plans will re-envision the Book of Kells exhibition to respond to increasingly diverse and engaged visitors. The story of the manuscript's history, making and symbolism will culminate in a new gallery showcasing the Book of Kells. The redesign of the exhibition will guide visitors on an immersive journey that places the manuscript in the context of Europe, Ireland, and Trinity College.
