TitleBuilding Capacity for Collaborative Education between Service Users, Family Members and Practitioners within Mental Health ServicesSummaryA multi site study, informed by Normalization theory and designed to identify the cultural and structural/systemic factors within the mental health service that enable and complicate the delivery of the EOLAS programmes and other recovery oriented service reforms. The research findings will serve to inform the ongoing roll-out of EOLAS so as to overcome difficulties, with a view to ensuring the availability of EOLAS throughout all mental health services in the country on an ongoing basis i.e. being sustainably integrated into the standard care package offered to people who experience psychosis and their families, The findings will also help to embed EOLAS as part of the framework of national policies in relation to recovery, service user engagement, family/carer involvement and change management.Funding AgencyHRBDate From2017Date To2020

TitleEOLAS: A different kind of voiceSummaryThe 'EOLAS the road we travel...'photographic project, which forms part of an overall evaluation of the EOLAS programmes, features the work of service users and family members, from around the country, who facilitate and participate in the delivery of the EOLAS Programmes. Through the medium of photography and in their own words they share their stories of living with a severe mental health problem, the journey they take towards recovery and how the EOLAS process has helped them on that journey. TitleReport of the Scoping Exercise on the Introduction of Graduate Entry Mental Health Nursing in IrelandSummaryThe HSE National Mental Health Division, through the Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director commissioned and funded this scoping review. It explores the feasibility of introducing a graduate entry Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing programme, leading to nursing registration in Ireland. The report comprises six chapters. The introductory chapter focuses on the background context and the methodology used to achieve four key objectives. These objectives were: Objective 1: To conduct a literature review on GEN, with particular emphasis on graduate entry Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, and explore the process, challenges and outcome of GEN programmes. Objective 2: To explore experiences of designing, delivering and undertaking GEN programmes, with specific emphasis on mental health nursing. Objective 3: To outline the necessary steps to be taken for the approval of GEN programmes in Ireland. Objective 4: To identify the possible source of a potential pool of graduates for programme uptake in Ireland.
