Ms. Vanessa Boland

Biography

Vanessa is an Assistant Professor who is passionate about fostering excellence in nursing and cancer survivorship care. She is a registered nurse and early career researcher with an emerging track record in securing research funding. Vanessa's mixed methods research expertise is interested in the cancer survivorship of haematological malignancies, their needs and psycho-oncology. Her doctoral work explored 'living with or beyond lymphoma: A mixed-method investigation of the unmet needs of cancer survivors'. She provides undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision at the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Vanessa is the Education Facilitator for the MSc Specialist Nursing in Cancer Care and Haematology. She holds a PG Certificate in Statistics from the School of Computer Science and Statistics at TCD. Vanessa is developing her international profile and has been invited to collaborate on research projects nationally and internationally.
