We are delighted to be recruiting a SPHeRE Scholar to join the CANDID 2 study at the Trinity Centre for Ageing and Intellectual Disability. This exciting research builds upon existing work in cancer care, ageing, and intellectual disability, using a mixed-methods approach to investigate cancer experiences among older adults with intellectual disabilities.
The study involves a systematic review, data linkage, analysis of longitudinal data , and qualitative interviews with individuals living with or beyond cancer, as well as healthcare professionals. The aim is to identify healthcare inequities and enhance cancer care for this population.
We are seeking a motivated scholar with strong research skills, an understanding of intellectual disabilities, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Research experience with vulnerable communities and proficiency in data analysis tools are desirable. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful research addressing health inequalities.
