Researchers from the School of Nursing & Midwifery participated in a unique showcase event which highlighted their groundbreaking research across the lifespan.
The evening opened with the launch of our new Research Strategy Working Together for Better Future Healthcare, which outlines the School’s vision for innovation and impact within healthcare.
Researchers, healthcare professionals and academics from different backgrounds explored cutting-edge projects, shared ideas and fostered potential future collaborations.
Dr Linda Doyle, Provost of Trinity College Dublin, attended the showcase as guest of honour and familiarised herself with different research themes and projects across the School which are creating a positive impact within health education and healthcare.
Lightening talks were also delivered on diverse topics including:

- ‘An Evaluation of the Cancer Support Specialist Service in Children’s Health Ireland’ - Ms Maryanne Murphy
- ‘An Implementation Science Approach to Public and Patient Involvement in a National Mental Health Research Consortium’ - Dr Shaakya Anand-Vembar
- ‘The Impact of COVID-19 Associated Restrictions on Depression Among People with Intellectual Disabilities’ - Dr Fidelma Flannery
- ‘ProACT: A Digital integrated Care Solution for Multiple Disease Management’ - Dr Filipa Teixeira
Dr Linda Doyle, Provost of Trinity College Dublin, said:

Every contribution reflected the passion, talent and dedication that drives our school.
We were also honoured to have both the Provost and Dean of Research attend and engage with our work and recognise how collectively we can achieve and bring our research strategy to life. To all of you, your commitment to ensuring this event’s success demonstrates how we can achieve this mission together. Let us continue to grow our research and nurture the talent which will ultimately leave a meaningful impact on the lives we aim to improve.”
