Prof Catherine Comiskey and Dr Mary Hughes have been awarded the 2023-2024 Award for Excellence in Supervision of Research Students for the Faculty of Health Sciences.  

This award reflects their commitment to supporting and mentoring research students.  

Prof Comiskey is the recipient in the Established Supervisor Award category and Dr Hughes in the Early Career Award category.

Professor Catherine Comiskey, said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be nominated by my students, judged by my peers and receive this award. Having supervised 26 doctoral candidates to completion it is I who continue to learn from them. I am immensely proud of their many achievements and contributions to making healthcare better for all.”
