The School of Nursing & Midwifery has had a busy year of global activity.
Forming connections with fellow educational institutions has allowed us to benefit from global perspectives on healthcare, research and education.
We have also been busy welcoming visitors from all around the world who have travelled to Dublin to engage in learning and knowledge sharing activities.
Faculty from the University of South Florida visited the School of Nursing & Midwifery in Dublin, to discuss potential future collaboration.
Students preparing for a PhD in Health Sciences took part in the Trinity-Duquesne PhD Summer School.
We received a visit from Texas Christian University Health Sciences students.
Students from the University of Pennsylvania interned as Research Assistants with our Principal Investigators as part of the PENN Global Research & Internship Program (GRIP), an 8-week internship programme.
Students from the University of Pittsburgh and University of Hong Kong joined us for our International Summer School to obtain a global view of nursing and allied healthcare as part of their university programme.
Visiting the University of South Florida, University of Tampa, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, University of Pittsburgh, Scranton University, Villanova University, Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.
A special lunch was hosted for our international, postgraduate students who shared their personal experiences of studying in Dublin.
Students and faculty from the University of Scranton (Pennsylvania) travelled to Dublin to join us for our annual International Winter School.
We were delighted to welcome Prof Kuei-Ru Chou, Distinguished Professor and Dean of the Office of Global Engagement, Taipei Medical University, to the School for the extension of our Memorandum of Understanding.
The University of Sydney Clinical Exchange was initiated with two students from Sydney who carried out a clinical placement in Ireland. Two of our students then went to the University of Sydney to carry out their clinical exchange in Royal North Shore Hospital.
