Research Forum on the Research and Innovation Bill & the Research Landscape
A hybrid forum featuring Ivana Bacik (Leader of the Labour Party), Prof Luke O'Neill (TCD), Prof Emma Sokell (University College Dublin, IFUT), Dr Nicole Volmering (TCD), and a representative from the Department of Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (tbc). As Government prepares legislation that will reconfigure our research funding landscape for generations to come through the Research and Innovation Bill, 2023, we ask what this might mean for researchers at all career stages and across all disciplines. To date there has been NO consultation with the research community. As the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science prepares to scrutinise the Heads of Bill on 9 and 16 May, this forum is an opportunity to make your voice heard. Please register here. If you can't attend, please consider signing our open letter to Minister Simon Harris and forward a copy to your TDs.
