JFK Moonshot: Reimagining Human Potential and Progress
Stripe chief executive Patrick Collison will join the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the Kennedy Summer School, and Trinity College Dublin for a fireside chat with on whether the rate of scientific, technological and economic progress that has driven humanity to address major challenges is slowing - and how to accelerate it. This is preceded by a panel discussion on innovation to mark the 60th anniversary of US President John F. Kennedy’s historic trip to Ireland in June 1963. Moderated by broadcaster Dearbhail McDonald, the panel discussing how the ‘Moonshot’ spirit lives on will feature:
- Prof Mary Aiken, Chair of the Department of Cyberpsychology at Capitol Technology University;
- Dr Martin Curley, Professor of Innovation at Maynooth University;
- Rodrigo García González, Co-CEO of sustainable packaging start-up Notpla.
