Learn how to sculpt the head in a fun and creative six-week course, taught by award winning portrait sculptor Elizabeth O’Kane. Over the 6 weeks each student will:

  • Complete a life-size clay portrait head, based on a plaster model

  • Learn acute observational skills and how to take measurements

  • Refer to anatomical references throughout, to achieve a strong likeness

  • Learn sculpting techniques to bring the clay to life

Elizabeth’s classes are intensive, yet fun, and are suitable for all levels from beginners to those with artistic experience. The course is limited to just eight places, so book early! Elizabeth’s work includes bronze busts of John Hume, Garrett FitzGerald and Stephen Rea, and a seven-foot tall bronze figure of John Count McCormack in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens
