Trinity Business School #1 in Ireland for all postgrad management programmes
Posted on: 12 April 2017
No fewer than seven of Trinity Business School’s MSc programmes have been ranked as the best in Ireland in independent compiler Eduniversal’s Best Masters Rankings of 2017.
These courses are the MSc in Management; MSc in Finance; MSc in International Management; MBA; Executive MBA; PG Diploma in Accounting; MSc in Digital Marketing Strategy.
The MSc in Management programme is also ranked as the best in the whole of Western Europe, whereas the others range from 3rd to 17th in that wider pool.
In ranking institutions across the globe, Eduniversal base 50% of their score on the ‘reputation of the programme’ element, which is based on the opinions of recruiters. The remaining 50% is based on the level of Palme of Excellence of the school, the salary of first employment for graduates, and student satisfaction scores.
Dean and Professor of Business Studies at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, Andrew Burke, said: “Trinity Business School is the fastest growing established Business School in Europe and is undergoing massive transformation. Innovation across existing and new Masters programmes has been a big part of this development and it is wonderful to see that Trinity Business School Masters are not only first in Ireland across every subject area in business but are also setting the top standard across Europe.”
“Our MSc in Management is now number 1 in Western Europe moving up from 5th place last year, while all of our other programmes have risen in the rankings and are now typically in the ‘Top 5’. Every ranking system has its differences and the Eduniversal rankings are more heavily weighted towards the views of recruiters in businesses, which shows that we are creating graduates that are valued at the premium level in the international workforce.”
“As a School we place a huge emphasis on having consistently high standard learning methods and messages – what we call the Trinity Business School DNA – across all of our programmes. As such, it is very reassuring to see this has resulted in consistently top level Eduniversal rankings for all our Masters programmes. Put differently, our approach is producing the graduates that businesses across the globe most want to hire.”
“It is also very pleasing to see that Trinity Business School is also being recognised as a top international and Irish leader in the CEO MBA rankings and the QS executive MBA rankings. Having moved the MSc in Management programme into 1st position in Western Europe, the challenge is to stay there. But we certainly hope to do that, with the School’s new €80 million state of the art building opening in 2018, top international faculty continually joining our rapidly growing School, and exceptionally high numbers of top quality students from across the world applying to our programmes.”
Assistant Professor in International Strategic Management and MSc in Management Programme Director, Padraic Regan, said: "The Programme Team is delighted with this result which bears testimony to the high quality students and staff involved and provides further evidence that the Business School's growth strategy is bearing fruit."
Postgraduate Career Development and Alumni Manager, Conor Edwards, added: “The Eduniversal results underscore the importance of the work which has gone into enhancing the employability outcomes of the Trinity Business School students. The TBS Career Development team have been liaising closely with employers to fully understand their graduate recruitment needs, as well as working with the students to assist them in developing both their skills and their ability to talk about their potential in a way that employers understand.”
“Situated in Dublin’s digital hub and surrounded by some of Ireland’s leading multinational employers means Trinity Business School is at the heart of the changing world of work and we are working with these employers to help shape the future of work.”
