The Trinity Inclusive Curriculum Resource Website Launched
Posted on: 04 December 2009
The Trinity Inclusive Curriculum (TIC) resource website http://www.tcd.ie/CAPSL/TIC/, providing tools, guidelines and templates that can be used to ensure inclusive principles are embedded within student teaching was recently launched.
The TIC website is a resource for staff within College whose work involves any aspect of student teaching, learning, or assessment. It contains guidelines and templates which can be used in curriculum design, teaching delivery and assessment design to enhance inclusion. It also includes guidelines and audio-visual presentations to enable staff to ensure all information follows the College’s Accessible Information guidelines, which were revised and updated in July 2009.
The website will be further developed through the creation of an online inclusive practice self-evaluation tool which will enable staff to apply the guidelines incorporated within the website to enhance their own teaching and assessment practices. A draft tool is currently being piloted in a number of programmes across College, and it is expected that the online tool will be ready for use in the next academic year.
