Queen Sonja of Norway Visits the Book of Kells and the Long Room

Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway visited the Book of Kells and the Long Room during her visit to Trinity College this week.  The Provost, Dr John Hegarty, accompanied the Queen in a guided tour of the Old Library  by the College’s Keeper of Manuscripts, Dr Bernard Meehan.  The Queen also attended the launch of a centennial colloquium on the Norwegian dramatist, Henrik Ibsen, which was hosted by Trinity College in association with the Royal Embassy of Norway.
