Augmented reality game promotes multilingualism in schools
Trinity and other academic partners in Europe have launched an augmented reality game ‘Babelar’ to show primary school pupils the value of the languages they possess and support teachers in becoming more aware of multilingualism and the value of a multilingual education.

Professor Linda Doyle set to become Trinity’s first female Provost
Professor Linda Doyle is set to become Provost of Trinity College Dublin, the first woman to ever hold this role in the University’s 429-year history. She will be the 45th Provost of the University and take over from the current Provost, Dr Patrick Prendergast, on August 1st this year.

Celebrating Irish Sign Language Day – Trinity shines a blue light on the subject
14th December 2017 is a cherished date for the Irish Deaf community because it marks the successful passing of the Irish Sign Language (ISL) Bill in the Houses of Oireachtas. The Bill was brought forward by Senator Mark Daly and is one of just 6 Bills that began life as a Private Members Bill to have entered into law in the past 80 years.

Trinity College Dublin campus to reopen Wednesday 8th December
Trinity's campus will open as normal tomorrow, Wednesday 8th December, following today’s closure due to the storm warning. Tuesday's scheduled commencement ceremonies will now take place tomorrow (Wednesday) at the same time and in the same place as originally planned.
