Posted on: 03 December 2024
INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is a collaborative interdisciplinary training programme to improve cancer patient care across Europe
The Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute (TSJCI) is honoured to have been selected as part of the new cohort of cancer centres under the EU co-funded project, INTERACT-EUROPE 100.
INTERACT-EUROPE 100 has a clear and unwavering objective: improve cancer care by improving the collaboration of those providing it. Being part of this training programme allows cancer centres like TSJCI and others across Europe to maintain a unified approach to inter-disciplinary cancer care, to improve research and interdisciplinary learning. Researchers can share the latest evidence-based protocols and learn about best practice. Ultimately, this approach focusses on better care for cancer patients.
Professor Jacintha O’Sullivan, Education Director, Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute said:
“As Education Director of the Trinity St. James's Cancer Institute (TSJCI), I'm delighted that TSJCI has been successfully accepted onto the INTERACT EUROPE-100 TRAINING programme. Trainers and trainees across different disciplines from TSJCI will participate in this cancer training programme. The INTERACT-EUROPE 100 vision is all about breaking down medical silos and provides professionals from different specialties with the skills to communicate with each other more effectively for better patient care.”
