NatPro at International Conferences in 2022

13th APS PharmSci International Conference, Belfast, September 2022
NatPro director Prof. Helen Sheridan was invited to give a talk at the recent APS PharmSci International conference in Belfast. Prof. Sheridan’s talk was entitled ‘From Monograph to Metabolomics - Navigating Quality and Regulation of Herbal Medicines in the 21st Century” held on 7th September 2022. The topic was of great interest to the attendees and conference organisers received incredibly positive feedback.

Computer-Aided Drug Design Symposium and Workshop, Istanbul, May 2022
NatPro director Assoc. Prof. Helen Sheridan was invited to give a talk at the recent CADD symposium and workshop in Istanbul. Dr. Sheridan’s talk was entitled ‘natural product drug discovery – from plants to clinical trials. The challenges and tools for revealing mechanism of action’.
At this same conference, Dr. Junying Liu presented a talk on ‘Network pharmacology provides new pharmacological data to ancient therapy.’

European Algae Industry Summit, Reykjavik, April 2022
Dr. Junying Liu, a Marie Skłodowska Curie Career FIT research fellow based in the NatPro Centre for Natural Products Research, attended the European Algae Industry Summit in Reykjavik, Iceland in April this year.
