Natural Products: Harnessing Nature’s Resources for a Better World is a new short open online course developed by the NatPro Centre and IKC3, Irelands’ Knowledge Centre for Carbon, Climate and Community Action.

Why should I take this course?
Participants will gain a deep understanding of how plants, microbes and other natural sources provide us with medicine and technologies. The fossil era is ending. Learn how the natural product sector can have a central role in reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and help us live more sustainably.
What will I learn?
This MOOC explores:
- Natural products: what they are and how we use them;
- Discovery and innovation in natural products: recognising opportunities and embracing challenges in the natural product sector;
- Natural products in bioeconomy for a sustainable future: refelection on the role of natural products in addressing global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
Who can apply?
This course is open to everyone and you can participate at any time at your own pace. This course is for anyone interested in the use and development of products from natural sources and in biobased solutions for sustainable living. No previous experience or qualifications are required.
