Medical Graduates
The School of Medicine issues a number of items for our alumni, including academic transcripts, graduate status letters and verification forms. Information on available items can be found below.
All Transcripts, Graduate Status letters and Educational Verification Forms completed and issued by the Education Divison are originals and will have the appropriate signature and the School seal attached.
Please be aware that due to College Policy and Irish Data Protection Laws, graduates must sign a release & waivers of rights form when documentation is being requested by a 3rd party.

Graduate documentation can be requested by emailing medadmin@tcd.ie or by completing the form here – you must provide your full name and date of birth and/or student number for verification purposes.
Academic Transcripts and Graduate Status letters can be issued for all graduates of the medicine degree programme.
There is a charge for transcripts requested a year or more after graduation. The charge is €25 for 3 Transcripts and €5 per Transcript after that.
Once your Transcript request has been received you will be emailed with details of how to make the payment. Please note that payments can only be accepted online and we cannot accept payment by cash.
A graduate status letter will include, start date, graduation date, award and states all teaching was in English.
Graduate documentation can be collected from the School office, posted to your home address or to a third party as requested. A full postal address must be provided. A PDF of the transcript can be emailed when requested.
A centile mark is included on all transcripts issued for graduate’s post 2010. A centile mark certificate can also be issued showing graduates name, graduating year and centile mark.
The Certificate of Experience is a document which confirms you have successfully completed your internship to the standards set by the Irish Medical Council. In order to be eligible for a Certificate of Experience you need to have completed your internship and the Irish Medical Council need to have received final sign-off from your intern network coordinator.
For Graduates prior to 2004 certificates of experience and a letter detailing intern rotations can be requested by emailing medadmin@tcd.ie, with your full name, date of graduation and date of birth.
For Graduates between the years of 2005 - 2010 certificates of experience and a letter detailing intern rotations can be requested by emailing the Intern Officer; Evan Blake blakeev@tcd.ie, with your full name, date of graduation and date of birth.
There is a charge of €10 for issuing a certified copy of your certificate of experience by the Education Division Office. Details of how to make the payment will be emailed directly to you following your request.
For Graduates who completed internships post from 2011 onwards will need to contact the Irish Medical Council to request a certificate of experience application form by emailing coe@mcirl.ie.

Doctors who are due to complete their internship in July 2016 will be able to request a certificate of experience through their Medical Council online account from the 13th of June 2016.
All graduate Educational Verification Forms should be emailed to medadmin@tcd.ie for completion. If any parts of the forms need to be completed by the graduate please made sure they are completed in full.
If a transcript or translation of your degree is required to be submitted as part of the verification please make sure to request these also.
Three to five working days should be allowed for all student requests to be processed. An email will be sent when the documentation has been issued and is ready for collection or being posted out. If you have not heard from the Education Division in over a week from the date of request please email medadmin@tcd.ie to confirm we received your request.
All correspondence with regards to ECFMG/ USMLE certification is managed by the International Programme Coordinator Rita Keane (keaneri@tcd.ie).
MSPE’s are issued for graduates who are applying to residency programmes in the US. To request an MSPE please follow the link below; complete the MSPE request form, attach required documents and send to the International Programme Coordinator, Rita Keane (keaneri@tcd.ie)
There is a charge for MSPE letters following graduation; an initial MSPE request for residency applications is €75, subsequent requests to update existing MSPE for future residency or fellowship applications will be €25. Details of how to make the payment will be emailed directly to you.
All requests and supporting documents for an MSPE must be submitted to the School at least one month prior the submission deadline.
