All the family is invited to the inaugural Child Health Research Festival 2024 which takes place on 25th September from 3pm to 7pm on the Front Square.

The festival is about bringing to life the vital research we do in children’s health. A fantastic programme of events highlights the wonder of the research, as well as showcasing the creativity of our staff in making that research accessible. Making research accessible is much more than simply telling you about what we do; it is also about you telling us what you think. The festival deals with serious health issues and in tackling them together we can build a better future for all.

The Festival affords a unique opportunity to meet with leading and world-renowned child health clinicians and academics who will be bringing their important research to life via interactive demonstrations, hands on activities, games, fun installations, theatre, art, and exciting visual displays.

The significance of the event is reflected in the fact that Dr Susa Benseler, the CAO of Childrens Health Ireland will join Provost Linda Doyle in the ceremonial Grand Opening cutting of the ribbon to officially launch the event.

A scale model of the new Children’s Hospital will be a focal point of the Festival affording visitors the opportunity to take a virtual tour around the corridors and operating theatres of the magnificent feat of architecture.

Trinity Child Health Research Festival is part of the European Researchers’ Night initiative. The full programme can be viewed here. We hope to see you there.
