Biostatistical Genomics Research Group
The Biostatistical Genomics Research Group is led by Dr Eleisa Heron, Ussher Assistant Professor in Biostatistical Genomics. We are based in the Dept of Psychiatry, Trinity Translational Medicine Institute. The focus of the group’s research is on the application of existing statistical methodology and the development of novel approaches to solve statistical and bioinformatics challenges. The goal of our research is to further our understanding of complex disorders. Additionally, we support others in the biostatistical aspects of their research.
Ongoing projects include:
PheGeClust - Identifying phenotypic subtypes with distinct genetic profiles in complex genetic disorders.
Bayesian modelling approaches for identifying causality in pedigrees using genomic data.
