Student Placement Pathway

The aim of the tcd student pathway 2019  to provide a framework for Practice Educators and students, which signposts relevant college structures/documentation required for a supportive placement learning environment, and to ensure consistency in the process of supporting students on placement.

This pathway is a framework designed for use with all students during placement. It is intended to assist practice educators create a supportive learning environment during placement. The pathway also provides a structure for the management of a student who is experiencing difficulty on placement and/or who is not reaching the performance standards set out by the Discipline of Physiotherapy.

It is intended for use in conjunction with support from the practice education team, the documents outlined in the process and the university support services as required.
