Biography
I have been a member of the Nanomedicine Team since March 2020. My PhD focuses on advancing the preclinical assessment of an innovative cancer treatment, Iron Oxide Nanoparticle-based Magnetic Hyperthermia. My research comprises two principal objectives, 1: to establish the most reliable and significant histological assessments specific to this treatment type, and 2: to develop human analogous 3D in vitro models which can predictively assess the occupational safety of iron oxide nanoparticles. This work was being carried out under two European Commission Horizon 2020 projects, NoCanTher and Safe-n-Medtech. I am joint first-name author of a book chapter in 'Methods in Cancer Cell Culture', part of the book series, 'Methods in Molecular Biology', published by Springer Nature, April 2023.
