Uploading documents to TARA
All documents in TARA are uploaded via the Research Support system (RSS) - detailed instructions on how to upload are in the following steps.
Accessing the RSS
- Log in to the Research Support System with your Trinity username and password.
To deposit a work NOT already listed in the Research Support System
- Login to the Research Support System
- Click on Your Publications and Other Research Outputs
- Click on the green "plus" icon beside the Publications section
- Select the type of publication from the drop-down list or choose an import option
- Enter the details of the publication and click Next
- On the next page you will see a number of tabs across the top of the screen. Navigate only to the ones applicable for you
- To upload to TARA click on the TARA tab. At the bottom of the screen, click the Upload fulltext to the TCD Repository button
- Browse for the file you wish to upload and click Next
- This screen allows you to check, verify and change any of the details (and the file) you have entered. You may also go back and add keywords, abstract, etc. at this stage if you wish. Click Next when ready
- This is the licence - read through it carefully and (if satisfied) click I agree
- The final screen tells you that your submission is now in progress - our administrators will now check the copyright policies of your publisher in order to approve the deposit
- As soon as the item has been checked successfully, you will receive an e-mail letting you know. The message will contain the link to your document in TARA. This is a stable "persistent identifier" which you can use to link to the paper from your website etc.
To deposit a work THAT IS already listed in the Research Support System
- Login to the Research Support System
- Click on Your Publications and Other Research Outputs
- Click on the "pencil" icon beside the publication you wish to upload
- Click on the TARA tab on the top of the screen.
- At the bottom of the screen, click the Upload fulltext to the TCD Repository button
- Follow the instructions listed in the previous procedure (from no. 8 onwards)
