Manuscripts for Medieval Studies Project

The Library of Trinity College Dublin is synonymous with the Book of Kells, but there are over six hundred further medieval manuscripts in the collections. The Library is escalating work to catalogue, conserve, digitise, research and share these manuscripts online.

The Manuscripts for Medieval Studies Project aims to digitise a selection of the most significant manuscripts for the study of the medieval period, including bibles, books of hours, chronicles, histories, psalters, and manuscripts with musical notation. The project is supported by Carnegie Corporation New York and is part of the Virtual Trinity Library programme which aims to make the Library's collections accessible to a global audience, from schoolchildren to scholars.
