School of Law signs Student Exchange Agreement with Prestigious University of Hong Kong
The School of Law is pleased to announce the signing of a new student exchange agreement with Asia’s most prestigious Law Faculty in the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
This new agreement is part of the ever-expanding partnerships of the School of Law with world-class institutions and will offer a unique academic experience in the Far East.
The student exchange will commence next September 2014 with a number of Trinity students spending a full academic year in HKU. Studying in one of the most dynamic cities of the Pacific region offers unrivalled opportunities, especially for students interested in International Finance Law, Chinese Law or Intellectual Property Law. The year abroad will also broaden their cultural awareness in the vibrant city-state of Hong Kong where East meets West.
These outstanding prospects were reflected in the comment of Professor Schuster, Director of Postgraduate Teaching and Learning, at the signing of the exchange agreement: “This new partnership will enable students in each institution to further their academic studies in both jurisdictions and broaden their knowledge of our shared Common Law system, whilst deepening relations and collaboration between academic staff. We are delighted to commence our student exchange programme in September 2014 when we will send a number of Trinity Law students to this esteemed university. In turn, we look forward to welcoming the first group of students from HKU Faculty of Law to Trinity College Dublin."
