This lecture will address cognitive bias amongst forensic examiners, and how to minimise that bias to improve forensic analysis.

Dr. Itiel Dror obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University. He is currently the Senior Cognitive Neuroscience Researcher at University College London. Dr. Dror’s scholarship focuses on researching human performance and cognition in a number of expert domains. His findings have been featured in both Science and Nature. Dr Dror has revolutionised the forensic science domain by showing that forensic examiners are biased in their scientific work, and his procedures and best practices for minimising those biases are now implemented across the globe.
