Congratulations and welcome to the School of Law
Congratulations on receiving your offer and welcome to the School of Law. We are delighted that you chose Trinity College Dublin to continue your education and we wish you every success for the coming years
Beginning your College studies involves a transition. Many of you are progressing directly from school, but some of you are returning to education after pursuing other activities in life. In each case, you will need to adapt to a new approach to studying. Indeed, for many of you, this will be the first time that you are studying Law in depth. There are a lot of supports available to help you make the transition into College life.
During the Orientation Week next week (16 - 20 September), you will learn more about how your programme is organised. You will also be introduced to the range of College services that are there to help you throughout your time at Trinity, including your Tutor who will be able to support you individually. A rich variety of clubs and societies can be found at Trinity and you will be able to discover more about their activities and how to get involved.
Below you will find an Orientation Schedule that the Law School has organised to help you settle in and get to know us and one another. The tea/coffee events are organised to help you meet your new classmates and continuing students. They are a great ice-breaker and will be an opportunity to know your peers before your classes start
We would also encourage you to visit the student societies in Front Square and around campus. TCD Law Soc and FLAC are a fantastic way to make new friends in your class. They also organise some of the best events. There is a huge list of clubs and societies and there is bound to be one that suits your interests. Don't be afraid to join one.
