Jeffrey Wool Secretary General of the Aviation Working Group joins TCD Law as Adjunct Professor
AWG’s secretary general, Jeffrey Wool, will lead the newly established transnational commercial and leasing law project, working with others in the Irish Contact Group and Trinity College Dublin, including in his capacity as an adjunct professor in the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin.
Mr. Jeffrey Wool, J.D. (Columbia 1988), is the secretary general of the Aviation Working Group. He acts in that capacity on secondment from Watson Farley & Williams LLP, where he is senior global advisor based in their New York and London offices. He is also president of the UNIDROIT Foundation. He has a parallel academic background. He was professor of global business law at the University of Washington School of Law from 2011-2019, co-founding and co-directing its global business law institute and developing and teaching new courses on transnational commercial law, comparative commercial law, and international business compliance. He was a senior research fellow at Harris Manchester College, Oxford, and an affiliate member of the law faculty, University of Oxford from 2011 - 2023. He taught transnational commercial law jointly with prof. Roy Goode at Oxford from 1995 – 1998. He most recently taught comparative and transnational commercial law at Hebrew University (2024), where he is an associate fellow.
