Module Title |
Translation Studies Methodologies |
Module Description
(200 words max) |
This module aims to build the technical skills required to produce original and high-quality research in translation studies. It combines practical exercises with analysis of existing research in order to encourage students to develop their own innovative research questions. Each week focuses on a distinct aspect of translation studies research, and explores the various methodological and technical aspects of this aspect through discussion and direct analysis. The module is assessed by a practical project, in which students analyse a monograph in technical terms, and then produce a book review of the same monograph. |
