The issues affecting the TCD Local Portal have now been resolved.

Access to the all services hosted on the TCD Local Portal, including the Web Asset Register, has now been restored.

Access to the Research Support System (RSS) via https://rss.tcd.ie is now available again.

Due to the log in issues affecting the TCD Local Portal, it is not currently possible to access the the Web Asset Register.

Update: Wednesday, 08th November 2023 at 13:00

The TCD Local Portal will be unavailable from 14:00 to 15:00 on Wednesday 08th of November.

During this period, users will be unable to access the following applications:

  • Research Support System (RSS) via https://rss.tcd.ie or via the TCD Local Portal
  • The Web Asset Register

Once the work has been completed, an update will be posted here.

It is currently not possible to log into the TCD Local Portal. IT Services are actively working to resolve this issue.

Users who wish to access the Research Support System (RSS) should do so via https://rss.tcd.ie and not via the TCD Local Portal.

Registration is not required in order to access the RSS via https://rss.tcd.ie.

The essential maintenance has now been completed successfully.

  1. The TCD Local Portal is available again.
  2. System owners of the following applications should be aware that the applications will be ‘at-risk’ and IT Services will be monitoring them today and tomorrow (7th and 8th November):
    • Trinity Live App
    • Telephone billing
    • Telephone directory
    • Car parking
    • HR Forms
    • SOEDMS
  3. System administrators should be aware that the following integrations will be ‘at-risk’ and IT Services will be monitoring them today and tomorrow (7th and 8th November):
    • HRG / Staff Query
    • Open data
    • Vidatum (TR&I)
    • Target Connect (Careers Service)
    • Gallagher
    • Planon
    • Online Safety System
    • Chemical Safety System
    • Research Ethics

On Tuesday, 7th November 2023, IT Services will be performing essential maintenance on servers hosting several key applications and solutions across the network.

The most impactful work will take place between 8:00am and 1:00pm, however several applications and integrations will be considered ‘at-risk’ for the entire day.

The impact on services will be as follows:

  1. The TCD Local Portal will not be available from 8:00am to 1:00pm and will be considered ‘at-risk’ for the remainder of the day. This impacts the following applications:
    1. Research Support System (RSS)
    2. The Web Asset Register
  2. The following applications will be unavailable for up to 15 minutes between 11:00am and 1:00pm. They will be considered ‘at-risk’ for the remainder of the day.
    • Trinity Live App

  3. System Administrators should be aware that the following integrations will be ‘at-risk’ and IT Services will be monitoring them on the 7th and 8th November:
