What will happen?

Any modules which were created in Blackboard 2017-2018 will now be removed from Blackboard.   

We have taken an archival backup of these modules and have stored them in a local offline storage area. This means that any module removed from Blackboard, from 2017-2018, can be restored if necessary.

When will this work take place?

This process will begin from the start of business on Thursday, 22nd February, 2024. On that date, you will no longer be able to access all modules for the year 2017-2018.   

The process will conclude from the week commencing Tuesday, 19th March, 2024, when we will delete these modules in batches from Blackboard. 

What do I need to do?

You shouldn’t need to do anything.  However, if you believe you have some active content from modules from the academic years 2017-2018, then you should take action before the removal date to move or copy that content to a more recent module or save the content in your own secure storage location outside Blackboard for safekeeping.
