Microsoft will permanently retire Internet Explorer (IE) on 14th February 2023.

Microsoft began the process of retiring IE last summer, where they initially ended support for IE on Windows 10 on 15th June 2022 and subsequently started redirecting users to Microsoft Edge instead.

From mid-January 2023, Microsoft will fully disable IE on Windows 10, starting with access to SharePoint and OneDrive being blocked, followed by making the web browser inaccessible on 14th February 2023.

How does this impact me?

From 14th February 2023, it will no longer be possible to use IE as a web browser. If you have previously used IE, then you have likely already been redirected to Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft Edge – Internet Explorer mode

If you need to access a website or service that only works in Internet Explorer, you can use the Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge.
