Staff Wi-Fi - How to de-register your device
In the event that your device is lost or stolen, of if you are or passing your phone on to someone else, you must deregister your device from this service and remove the mobile profile. For those who are leaving College, you may manually deregister, as below. The instructions are different for Android and iOS; both sets of steps are outlined here.
iOS deregistration steps
- Browse to http://mobiledevice.tcd.ie/ and login, your list of devices will be shown
- Select the device you wish to remove from the network and click the 'Deregister Device' button
- The status will change to 'deleting' and within a few minutes, you will receive an email confirming that your device has been deregistered.
- To remove the profile from your device, open your the iPhone/iPad Settings app
- Go to 'General' - 'VPN and Device Management' and select the 'TCDMobile' profile (if you do not see the 'TCDMobile' profile listed, then no further action is required).
- Tap 'Remove' and enter the password from the email
- The profile will be removed.
Android deregistration steps
