Connecting to the Trinity network

If you would like to connect your computer to the Trinity network, there are two stages that you must complete:

  1. Request connection of your computer to the network

    • If your computer isn't already connected to the internet (e.g. home Wi-Fi) then this request will need to be submitted from another device such as your mobile phone or a colleague's computer.

  2. Connect to the network and enrol your computer

Once you receive the email from IT Services in response to your network request, you can then complete the following steps to get connected and enrol your device.

Configuring dual-boot computers

A dual boot machine, one that runs two operating systems, must meet the security requirements for both operating systems in order to meet Trinity security policy. Below are specific guidelines for computers running Windows and Linux or macOS and Windows.

Windows/Linux dual boot

If your computer runs both Windows and Linux then you must fully configure both Windows and Linux as per the instructions above. IT Services will supply you with the IP address once you have completed the Windows security checks.

macOS/Windows dual boot

If your computer runs both macOS and Windows then you must configure both Windows and macOS separately as per the instructions above.
