Dark PR: How corporate disinformation harms health and the environment
Grant Ennis, author of the acclaimed book Dark PR, will deliver a public lecture on the role of corporations in framing the global problems of obesity, climate change and automobility.
Grant is an important voice in the emerging public health debate on the Commercial Determinants of Health, (World Health Organization, 2023). He lectures at Monash University on activism, organising and corporate disinformation. He will give a 45 minute interactive public lecture.
Dr. Sara Burke, Director of the Centre for Health Policy and Management in Trinity will host a 45 minute panel discussion after Grant's lecture with:
Dr. Paul Kavanagh, HSE specialist in public health medicine;
Dr. Sheila Gilheany, CEO of Alcohol Action Ireland;
Prof Francis Finucane, Consultant Endocrinologist, Galway University Hospital; and
Janis Morrisey, Director of the Irish Health Promotion Alliance
