Dean's Research Initiatives Fund

In 2017-18 the Faculty of Health Sciences launched its third call for the Dean's Research Initiatives Fund, which aims to advance the research priorities of Trinity College’s Strategic Plan 2014-2019, raise the national and international profile of the University and increase receipt of Horizon 2020 and HRB awards, as well as other funding. The Dean’s Research Initiatives Fund awards investigators with seed funding that provides the foundation necessary to secure extramural funding for cutting edge, innovative and transformative research. The Principal Investigator must be a member of the academic or research staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Trinity College.

A high volume of quality applications were received from across all four Schools in the Faculty, and each of the six research focus areas of the award were represented.
