Dean's Awards for Innovation in Teaching - Launched 2015

Winners of the Dean's Awards 2023-24 - 20,237 Euro awarded

The spirit of this award is to encourage teaching innovations within the Faculty of Health Sciences, where the outcomes will be shared with colleagues across the Faculty and beyond.

The Faculty of Health Sciences strives to embed the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all that we do. In a clear demonstration of our commitment to this, evidence that EDI is embedded throughout the innovations was introduced as a criterion for the award in 2022-23. Developing a range of interactive learning materials around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI). These will include case-based videos portraying patients of diverse ethnic social background, ability, sexual orientations, and gender identities in interaction with healthcare professionals. The simulated interactions address core issues in providing healthcare for diverse communities.
