Listening Lunches, 2024-25
The Listening Lunch sessions are targeted at Postgraduate Research Students, whether full time or part time. They aim to offer participants an opportunity to meet online and to discuss issues of importance or concern to them in conversation with the Dean of Graduate Studies and professional staff who support the work of the Dean. Sessions are scheduled in Teams for 50 minutes over lunch and participants are encouraged to not only use the slot to meet fellow students and chat over lunch, but also to raise issues where they feel support is needed from each other or from the university.
Each session starts with a short Update from the Dean on a specific topic (see the list below). This is followed by an open Q&A slot, where participants can ask questions on that topic, or where they can raise other issues.
These sessions are open to all registered postgraduate research students. Approx 1 week before a scheduled session, all postgraduate research students will receive a link to join the online meeting.
