Professor Martine Smith
Dean of Graduate Studies
Prof Martine Smith, PhD is Fellow of Trinity College Dublin (2010) and a former Head of the Discipline of Clinical Speech and Language Studies and Head of the School of Linguistics, Speech and Communication Sciences. Her research and teaching focus on developmental speech, language and communication impairments, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and the impact of severe communication impairments on social participation and identity. She is involved in a number of international research collaborations, including the multi-site Becoming an Aided Communicator project exploring how children acquire language using aided communication.
