Trinity has a long history of international cooperation and collaboration, leading a number of initiatives that have resulted in benefits for the academic community and society.
Participation in Erasmus+ projects enables engagement and collaboration with international partners around the world. It also enables the University to consolidate engagement more locally through partnerships with entities across the country.
Trinity sees international collaboration through Erasmus+ as an enabler of our institutional strategic commitment to be “a globally connected community of learning, research, and scholarship, inspiring generations to meet the challenges of the future".
The University wishes to support Schools, Departments and other Units through Trinity Global and thereby promote opportunities available through the Programme .
Erasmus+ provides funds for the development of projects that aim for impact and development through international cooperation within and outside the European community.
Key Action 2: Cooperation among organisations and institutions supports:
- Partnerships for Cooperation, including Cooperation Partnerships and Small-scale Partnerships;
- Partnerships for Excellence, including Centres for Vocational Excellence and Erasmus Mundus Action;
- Partnerships for Innovation, including Alliances and Forward-looking projects;
- Capacity Building projects in the fields of higher education, vocational education and training, youth and sport;
- Not-for-profit European sport events.
The sectors covered by this action are Adult Education (AE), Schools Education (SE), Vocational Education& Training (VET), Youth (YOU), Sport (SPO) and Higher Education.
The submitted projects need to consider the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme which are inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, environment, and civic engagement.
