Theresa LangerDAAD Lektorin

Theresa Langer studied German as a Foreign Language and Anglistics at the University of Leipzig, followed by an MA in German as a Foreign Language in a German-African context and German of the universities Leipzig and Stellenbosch. Her work as a language teacher led her to fill in as Senior Lecturer in German at the University of Oxford in 2022/23. In September 2023 she joined Trinity College Dublin as DAAD-Lecturer. Her research focusses on GDR-history in German language classes.

As DAAD-Lecturer she represents the German Academic Exchange Service (www.daad.de) and as such promotes studying in Germany and doing research in Germany or in cooperation with a German institution.

At Trinity College she teaches German language and works closely with the Germanic Society to organize and host a range of events.
