Activities supported

• Vacuum impregnation
• Sample staining
• Preparation of thin sections (50 x 25 mm) of required thickness (ca. 30-200 μm) with or without cover slip
• Preparation of polished rock samples up to 30cm diameter.

Equipment

• Firstreem Vacuum Temperature controlled oven
• Fixed Jigs at 70 C Degrees
• Precision lapping equipment (LP 40, 1PM51-1 Logitech polisher)
• Vibro lap
