Graduate Geologist opportunities at Geological Survey Ireland

Geological Survey Ireland, a division of the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, is Ireland's national Earth Science knowledge centre, working on behalf of the Irish public. Six positions are now open for graduate geologists to work for 11 months and gain valuable experience in the Earth Science sector in Ireland.

Positions are available in the following programmes:

Tellus; Coastal Mapping and Monitoring; INFOMAR; Geothermal Energy; Groundwater; and one post split between Minerals and Outreach/Education. Geological Survey Ireland is based in Booterstown Hall, Booterstown, Blackrock, County Dublin. A94 N2R6 but fieldwork will take place throughout the country.

Requirements

Applicants must hold, or be due to be conferred with, an Honours degree (2.2 or higher) in Geology or a related discipline. Year of graduation must be 2022, 2023 or 2024.
Applicants must hold a full driving licence.
