Welcome to the homepage of Molecular Population
Genetics Lab, Trinity College Dublin!
We are based in the Smurfit
Institute of Genetics, which is located adjacent to the Lincoln
Place Gate of Trinity College Dublin.
Headed by Prof Dan Bradley, there are currently 3 postdoctoral
fellows and 6 postgraduate students in our lab.
Our projects include ancient DNA studies to understand the relationship of phylogeography and domestication of cattles, goats and sheep.
By employing high-throughput next-generation sequencing technologies, in parallel with palaeoanthropological techniques, we also try to elucidate past evolutionary processes which have shaped the genetic architecture of European populations.
