Research Grant Tips
Feel free to reach out to your colleagues in our school for advice on how best to approach a new grant application. People are happy to share their experiences - whether successful or unsuccessful, so as to help their peers. You can also link in with our Director of Research who will put you in contact with a PI who was previously awarded a grant from a particular body.
Principal Investigators in our School have been awarded research grants from a number of agencies.
As a grant holder, you are allocated a Research Administrator from Financial Services Division (FSD) with whom you can liaise regarding your project and expenditure. See below for more information on grant holding and expenditure.
You may also wish to refer to the Finance Manual (June 2023) which includes information on financial regulations, income/expenditure, reimbursement/expenses, project administration and accounting, and financial policies. Further information is available on Trinity's Finance Policies and Procedures.
