RÉIMSE SPLEODRACH IMEACHTAÍ BEARTAITHE D’ÉIGSE NA TRÍONÓIDE
COLURFUL WEEK PLANNED FOR ÉIGSE NA TRÍONÓIDE, TCD’S IRISH LANGUAGE FESTIVAL

Tá an-áthas ar An Cumann Gaelach, Coláiste na Trionóide, i gcomhar le hOifig na Gaeilge, clár imeachtaí Éigse na Tríonóide 2014 a fhógairt. Seachtain spleodrach a bheidh i gceist leis an Éigse, i gcroílár Bhaile Átha Chliath, agus tá sé oscailte do chách. Beidh an ceiliúradh Gaelach seo ag leanúint ón Luain 27 go dtí an Aoine 31 Eanáir.
Beidh ar a laghad ceithre imeachtaí trí mheán na Gaeilge gach uile lá, agus mar sin tá rud éigin do gach duine le gach cineál spéise.
Chun tús bríomhar a chur leis an lá, beidh pancóga nó tósta agus tae saor in aisce i Seomra na Gaeilge gach maidin.
AR AN LUAN, tiocfaidh Árd-Mhéara Bhaile Átha Cliath, Oisín Quinn, inár láthair, le Scaoileadh na mBalún a fhógairt ag a 11.30 r.n. i bpríomhchearnóg an Choláiste. Ag 1.15 i Seomra na Gaeilge, tabharfaidh Linda Ervine ón East Belfast Mission léacht thar a bheith suimiúil ar an fás mór i suim sa Ghaeilge atá léirithe in Oirthear Bhéal Feirste le tamaillín anuas. I ndiaidh seo, beidh turas ar Dáil Éireann. Tiocfaidh slua le chéile arís sa Seomra ag a 6i.n. d'Oscailt Oifigiúil na hÉigse- beidh ceoil, sólaistí agus craic ar fail, agus beidh an tOllamh Alan Titley againn mar aoichainteoir.
AR AN MHÁIRT, beidh maidin caife don fhoireann i mar aon le Taster Gaidhlig na hAlban ag 11r.n. Buaicphointe an lae ar an Mháirt ná Díospóireacht i Seomra na Gaeilge, le haoichainteoirí speisialta. Beidh cultúr dúchasach na nGaeil á léiriú ag Ceardlann Sean-Nóis ag 4.00i.n. Ina dhiaidh sin, ag a 6.00 i.n., taispeánfar scannán Gaeilge.
MAIDIN CHÉADAOIN, bí ag rith timpeall linn i ndaidh a 10.00 r.n. nuair a dhéanann muintir an choláiste iarracht teacht ar an "Fugitive Gaelach". Glac sos ansin le caife saor in aisce ag an Chéadaoin @ An Bhutrach ag 10.30. Ní bheidh éinne ocrasach Dé Céadaoin, mar cuirfear anraith agus bia saor in aisce ar fail ag am lóin sa Seomra!
Oíche Chéadaoin, beidh GIG MHÓR NA HÉIGSE DO PHÁDRAIG SCHALER, le baill Kila, Seo Linn agus na Trinitones, agus muid ag tiomsú airgid san Workman’s Club ar Ché Wellington. Beidh damhsa, beidh ceol, beidh spraoi den scoth againn. Ná caill amach air!
AR AN DÉARDAOIN, beidh Tráth na gCeist idir mic léinn agus foireann an Choláiste ag a 1.30i.n. Bain taitneamh as Tráthnóna Cluichí ag 3.00 i.n. Dóibh siúd atá spíonta, beidh amhránaíocht álainn le cloisteáil ag Urnaí na Nóna i Séipéal an Choláiste ag a 5.15, agus fáiltiú ina dhiaidh sa Séiplíneacht (Teach 27).
DÉ HAOINE, AN 31 Eanáir, beidh cór an chumainn ag teacht le chéile le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ag Aifreann na hÉigse i Séipéal an Choláiste ag a 1.05i.n. Is féidir bheith ag guí go mbeidh an bua againn, ach ar aon chuma, beidh craic agus spórt den chéad scoth idir muintir TCD agus muintir UCD ag Cluiche Peile na nDathanna ag 2.30 i.n.
Cuirfear clabhsúr deas leis an Éigse ag 7.00 i.n. oíche Dé hAoine le Oíche Scéalaíochta i dTeach Tabhairne an Lord Edward.

COLURFUL WEEK PLANNED FOR ÉIGSE NA TRÍONÓIDE, TCD’S IRISH LANGUAGE FESTIVAL
Trinity College Dublin’s Cumann Gaelach, in association with the Irish Language Office, are delighted to announce the programme for this year’s Éigse na Tríonóide festival. An exciting week is planned for the Éigse, in the heart of the capital city, and events are open to all. This Irish language celebration will run from Monday 27th to Friday 31st January.
At least four events will be held each day through Irish and there will be something for everybody and every taste.
An energising start to each day will be provided each morning in Seomra na Gaeilge with free pancakes or toast, and tea.
ON MONDAY, Dublin’s Lord Mayor Oisín Quinn will join us for the Release of Balloons in Front Square, providing a colourful start to the celebrations. At 1.15pm in Seomra na Gaeilge, Linda Ervine from the East Belfast Mission will give a most interesting talk on the growth of interest in Irish in East Belfast in recent times. After this, there will be a trip to Dáil Éireann. People will gather at 6pm in Seomra na Gaeilge for the official launch of the Éigse- featuring music, refreshments and craic. Professor Alan Titley will be our guest speaker.
ON TUESDAY morning, there will be a coffee morning for staff in the School of Education, and a Scottish Gaelic Taster class at 11am in Seomra na Gaeilge. The highlight of the day on Tuesday will be an Debate in Seomra na Gaeilge with special guest speakers. Traditional Irish culture will be to the fore at 4pm with a Sean-Nós workshop, and a film in Irish will be shown at 6pm.
ON WEDNESDAY morning, run around with us from 10.00am when people in College will be trying to catch the "Fugitive Gaelach". Take it easy then with free coffee at Wednesday @ The Buttery. Nobody will go hungry on Wednesday, as free soup and lunch will be provided in Seomra na Gaeilge from 1pm!
On Wednesday night, the highlight of the week’s events will be GIG MÓR NA HÉIGSE DO PHÁDRAIG SCHALER, with members of Kila, Seo Linn and the Trinitones, as we raise finds at the Workman’s Club on Wellington Quay. There will be dancing. There will be music. There will be great craic. Don’t miss out!
ON THURSDAY, there will be a Table Quiz competition between Staff and Students of the College, at 1.30pm. Enjoy an afternoon of Games at 3pm. For those worn out, there will be beautiful singing to be heard at Urnaí na Nóna (Choral Evensong in Irish) in the College Chapel at 5.15, followed by a reception in the Chaplaincy (House 27).
ON FRIDAY 31st January, the Cumann Gaelach choir will come together for Mass in the College Chapel at 1.05pm. We will be praying for victory in the Colours Gaelic Football Match between TCD and visitors from UCD at 2.30pm! The Éigse will close with a relaxing evening of storytelling in the Lord Edward pub at 7pm.
