Abair.ie- text-to-speech system for Irish
Abair.ie is the product of the university research project "Cabóigín I" whose goal was to develop a complete text-to-speech system for Irish, with funding from Foras na Gaeilge. "Cabóigín" is also used to refer to the first ever synthetic voice, which speaks Ulster (Gaoth Dobhair) Irish. The project is led by Professor Ailbhe Ní Chasaide of the Phonetics and Speech Laboratory, part of the Centre for Language and Communication Studies, School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences, Trinity College, Dublin.
