We are responsible for maintaining all soft and hard landscaping, sports pitches and the tree collection for the entire estate, in line with our Habitats Maintenance Policy and Trinity’s Sustainability Strategy.

Additional works include tree preservation and hardscape installation.

The Campus Maintenance team is responsible for:

  • The maintenance of all grounds, gardens, and sports fields on Campus and in the outside properties, e.g., Santry Playing Fields, the Boat Club at Island bridge, Iveagh Grounds in Crumlin, the Trinity Centre at Tallaght Hospital and St. James's Hospital.
  • Litter management on Campus.
  • Waste management and recycling facilities on Campus.
  • Supporting the administration of university examinations on and off Campus.

The Campus Maintenance team also gives a number of tours throughout the academic year, providing expertise and insight into the planting strategy and the numerous varieties of trees and shrubs on campus.  For more information on this subject please visit our Trees of Trinity page.
