Building Maintenance Services
The Building Maintenance section focuses on the Fabric / External envelope of the college-wide building portfolio. This encapsulates the repair and maintenance (Reactive and Planned Preventative) of the building elements such as – roofs, walls, doors and external boundaries (Inc. gates and barriers).
The team consists of 5 staff members who carry out roof, gutter and downpipe cleaning and leak repairs.
The PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) services provided include:
- Roof cleaning, inspecting and monitoring.
- Testing, certification and commissioning of Lightning protection, Fall arrest, Catwalk and Safe systems of access.
- Testing, certification and commissioning of Automated doors, Barriers, Roller shutters and Gates.
- Maintenance, operation and inspection of Clocks, Bells, Flag poles and general high work duties.
- Window and façade cleaning and maintenance of ironmongery.
- Maintenance, operation and inspection of the colleges articulated boom, ladders and fall arrest protection equipment.
